Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Spidy scheint sich gut zu entwickeln.

Spidy 0.4.0 is out: the free fan VR mod for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC. Everything here is gameplay recorded in the headset. Spider-Sense comes to VR. Spidy reads the game's own attack warnings, so every enemy the game warns you about is warned about in VR, at the game's own timing.

A mark over the attacker: blue means counter, red means dodge (B), yellow means jump (A). A white ring closes as the blow comes, and a yellow burst means now.

An attacker you aren't looking at gets a mark in your sightline with an arrowhead pointing to the attacker, lines at the edge of your view and a buzz on that side's controller.

Counter: punch a blue-marked attacker to break the attack and make that enemy your target. Up to 10 m away, the web strike flies you there. The counter is a heavy blow and briefly slows time.

Also new in 0.4.0:

WEB STYLE, a new setting in the SPIDY VR tab of the game's Settings: REALISTIC or ARCADE. In ARCADE, webs pass lamp posts, signs and cars, and swings stay above the street: easier to swing and turn, no getting tangled on poles.

Graphics fixes and optimizations: the city looks as good as it did in the first versions, without lights popping in.

A phone on your belt, made by Tru from our Discord: reach behind your hip, squeeze the grip and bring it up, or pick MY PHONE in the pause menu. Its music player plays your own songs from the Music folder beside the launcher.

Zip from the game's aim: hold the right stick up to aim in slow motion, let go to zip where you aimed.

The gadget wheel is redrawn in comic print: pictures on every badge, the equipped one yellow, empty ones grey, dots for charges, and the one you point at turns red with its name.

Impact Web fires the real Impact Web.

Webs leave the suit's own web shooter. Web balls and gadgets leave just past it.

Zip and web strike work while you swing, for car chases.

Webs and fists skip enemies the game is already holding: passengers in cars, carried enemies, cinematics.

Your view stays 20 cm off walls and buildings, and after a menu or a load your head is put back over your body.

Hold both sticks in for 0.7 s to pause (helps Quest players under SteamVR).

Better hands: the web-shooting pose and a fist that closes properly.

VR sessions turn NVIDIA Reflex off, aimed at a crash on some RTX 4070 SUPER cards.

The launcher now explains "Different bridge build is resident" and offers to restart VR for you.

Sneak peek at the end: Miles Morales in VR. Jimjam094 from our Discord is porting Spidy to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It's a work in progress, and the Discord is where to follow it.
Update: start the launcher and press Update now. This update must be installed whole.
