Schade, hatte auch auf Überzüge für das Stirn- und Hinterkopfpad gehofft. Ausserdem sieht mir das Teil extrem dick aus. Ich hatte die Erfahrung gemacht dass bei dicken Covers über der Augenpartei viel zu viel FoV verloren geht. Es dürfte nur an den Seiten sehr dick sein um den Lichteinfall zu verhindern. Dass da zwei drin sind ergibt irgendwie auch keinen Sinn. Die PU Dinger muss man ja nicht waschen, sondern kann sie einfach abwischen.
Hoffe die bringen eines für die Pimax raus, ich vermisse mein (Kunst)Ledercover und das von der produziert leider eine große Lücke an der Nase
Ja, besonders für Stirn habe ich auch auf eines gehofft. Eventuell kann man mit dem Cover komplett auf das bei der Stirn verzichten. 2 Stück finde ich gut, da kann man dann schnell wechseln, wenn man mit mehreren Leute spielt. Wäre nur eines da muss hat dann jeder das Desinfektionsmittel auf der Stirn (oder man muss ein paar Minuten warten, was auch doof wäre) Mehr Dicke am Rand finde ich gut, da ist bei mir viel Licht eingefallen ohne Mod. Ich werde auf jeden Fall ein Review machen, sobald die Dinger da sind.
Hm also ich finde es reicht sie mit einem feuchten Tuch abzuwischen. Desinfektion kann man sicher machen aber wenn ich Gäste da habe zum VR Spielen sind es meistens mehrere, so dass mir zwei Cover da auch nicht reichen würde. Die feuchten Babytücher vom Aldi sind perfekt für so etwas, die nutze ich überall im Haushalt. Hier mal meine Antwort an VRCover: "Hi, Thanks for your notification. I really looked forward for some professional solutions for the Odyssey+ comfort (and especially) hygienic problems. Unfortunately your solution does not convince me at all for several reasons: 1) Knowing the O+ very well by now I came to realize (throughout many hours of modding it) that thick paddings (I tried to stack two original Odyssey VR Covers) really really really come at a high cost of FoV. And your new PU foam looks VERY thick. The thickness is needed on the sides of the cover to avoid light leakage, but on the top of the cover the thickness is costing FoV. A lot of FoV. It is night and day difference if you compare the original (very uncomfortable and light leaking) pad with a thick custom pad regarding FoV. 2) Next thing... it is a wipeable PU Cover. Why two pieces then? It doesn't make sense to me as you don't have to throw it in the washer, just wipe it off. You could have made it cheaper and just sell one piece. 3) The second big problem of the O+ is hygiene. The forehead and backhead paddings are made of cloth which soaks up sweat and isn't detachable and washable. The original Odyssey was just perfect with PU leather paddings all around. Just wipe it off and pass along. I just wrapped some velour cloth pieces around the paddings of my O+ and fixed them with soft velcro straps, so I can easily detach and wash them. I was hoping for a professional solution to this problem from vrcover. An O+ package would have been fine containing ONE PU face pad (thick on the sides, thin on the top) and some sort of sleeves for the forehead and backhead paddings, which can be detached and washed. Hab mir auch gerade die Cover für die O+ bestellt. Bin mal gespannt wie sich das anfühlt. Werde dann berichten.

It was developed to address issues that specifically dealt with discomfort with the stock foam and light leakage round the sides. Das VR Cover für die O+ ist heute angekommen und wow ich bin wirklich begeistert wie bequem sie jetzt ist. Kein Druck mehr zwischen den Augenbrauen und nach oben schauen ist auch nicht mehr unangenehm. Licht von oben und den Seiten wird auch endlich komplett geblockt. Das Cover fühlt sich wie eine Gesichtscouche an! Allerdings nur mit dem Klettbandmod, ohne wird das Gewicht immer noch falsch verteilt.
